Keep Unwanted Pests Out With Professional Exclusion

EnviroPest's “Enviro Guard” is a distinctive integrated pest management program designed to keep nuisance and potentially destructive insects and rodents out of Colorado homes.

The Enviro Guard service accomplishes the exclusion goal by sealing the entry points and installing physical barriers to limit pest activity and pest harborages around our customers' homes. By focusing on targeted areas around the home, Enviro Guard can substantially limit the amount of pest activity, harborage, and the entering of pests into houses.

Enviro Guard Process

When you sign up for EnviroPest's Enviro Guard, we will thoroughly inspect your home, including the structure’s perimeter base, roof, eaves, entries, windows, vents, and exterior protrusions. We'll also identify any possible gaps or openings and locate pest harborage areas.

Based on our assessment, we'll then determine the materials needed to pest proof for your home. Materials may include caulking, weather stripping, expanding cloth, netting, screening, and other hardware materials.  What we'll use will depend upon the building design and construction of your home.

During installation, our specialized technicians will have to access the home’s exterior, including the roof, yards, and perimeter and interior areas, such as windows, attic, and garage. After the installation, we'll perform a quality assurance inspection to verify the integrity of workmanship.

The materials provided are intended to be long-term physical deterrents to stop unwanted pests and are backed by a one-year replacement and labor warranty.

How Common Is Hantavirus In Colorado?

The virus responsible for the death of Gene Hackman's wife is rare in Colorado, though not unheard of – with 122 cases reported statewide between 1993 and 2023.

Hantavirus is a family of viruses spread by rodents. The most important hantavirus in Colorado is the Sin Nombre virus, which can cause a severe and potentially deadly respiratory virus. People can become infected when they inhale the virus that infected deer mice shed in their urine, feces, and saliva, according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.

"There is no person to person spread for this. So it's purely a function of having inhaling the virus from the droppings that are there," said Dr. Michelle Barron, senior medical director of infection prevention at UCHealth.

If you are experiencing a rodent problem, call EnviroPest today for a free inspection.

DO NOT attempt to clean the area without proper Personal Protective Equipment or professional-grade de-sanitization products.
